> Crew Chief training weekend

In preparation for the upcoming airshow season, the yearly Bronco Crew Chief training weekend was held at Wevelgem airfield, Belgium. The whole crew chief team came together and we welcomed two newcomers, Stijn Mennes and Cathy Lenaers, who is our first female Crew Chief.
The first part was a refreshment of last years training weekend, basic handling of the aircraft, safety procedures,… This was followed by a very interesting presentation by Wim about aircraft marshalling. After a theoretical course, it was time to practice this for real, with the Quad acting as Bronco. In the afternoon the safety procedures were repeated this time in and around the Bronco itself. As a new item for the 2012 season, an ground show was put together for start up and return procedures. It was also the ideal time to debrief the previous airshow season, and put all the pro and contras together to make the 2012 season even better.
The catering during the whole weekend was served by the Bronco Cheerleaders who did a great job. On Saturday evening it was Spaghetti time which was a very enjoyable moment to be together with almost the whole team. The champagne bottles were opened to conclude the very successful 2011 season and looking forward to the new season.
On the second day it was time for the completion of the theoretical course and preparing the aircraft for the Bronco Fan Day which took place during the afternoon. At noontime the new Bronco Crew Chief graduates were officially handed over their certificate, congratulations Cathy, Stijn and Wim. As a surprise there was also an award for excellence which was granted to Tom as a thank you for all his great work he did.

Hereby we would like to thank Tony and Edith for hosting this excellent weekend and to all the crew members for attending and the great fun we had.
