In the afternoon we visited the base of the
Wiltshire Air Ambulance were again the paramedic, pilots and support staff
were on hand and could relate the story from their perspective. It was
the WAA MD900 helicopter which transported Tony from the accident scene
to Frenchay hospital.
Interviews were given to the local press and also to BBC Gloucester TV.
We even made the evening news with a major feature.
The whole rescue effort was a brilliantly coordinated affair, initiated
in a most professional way by Cotswold Airport ATC and was proven to be
a fantastic team effort between the Cotswold Airport Fire brigade, the
HART team, the two helicopter ambulance services and the receiving staff
at Frenchay hospital. |
