Each year, before the season starts, Bronco Demo Team is coming together for a great weekend spend to keep all things fresh before the First Airshow arrives. From as far as Germany and Switzerland, the Crew Chiefs and Cheerleaders came over to Kortrijk-Wevelgem to have a great weekend together. This year we also had a very special Guest, Udo Stamer, who was Winch Operator when the Bronco was still flying operational for the German Air Force. It was a great moment for Udo to be back into his former office after over 20 years.

For the Bronco Crew Chiefs it is the time to rehearse all the standard practices that comes with being a Crew Chief. Over the two days the theoretical course is repeated as well as some very interesting lectures going further into the Broncos systems.

After the theoretical part, it is time to go into the hangar for some on-aircraft training. New to this year is the use of the Ground Support Unit to start the aircraft. So as a practice, the pre-flight inspections were carried out before Tony got into the cockpit for a ground-run. Afterward the post-flight inspections were carried out before the Bronco was placed back inside the hangar.

In the evening, the Bronco Cheerleaders prepared a fantastic dinner. Tony and Edith also handed-over the awards to all the crew, and especially the 2013 award of excellence which went to Jessie for all the magnificent work she does for the team.

On Sunday morning the lectures went on, and around noon it was time to prepare the Bronco for the Bronco Fan Day who took place during the afternoon. It was also time to hand-out the Crew Chief Certificates to Jessie and Trevor who are now official Crew Chiefs for the Bronco Demo Team, congratulations!
