The RIAT ground crew had smartly arranged
for all three aircraft to be parked together in a prominent position between
a Dutch Air Force KDC10 and RAF Voyager. The Bronco was taking the “pride
of place” center position in a great ground display. This was very
well received by the many visitors and Bronco friends alike, keeping our
merchandising stand very busy from opening till closing every day. We
really did appreciate your visit, the many supportive comments and questions.
In front of the Bronco an ‘In Memoriam” plaque for USNR Capt.
Ed Gillespie was displayed. First to fly the Bronco, Mr. Gillespie had
sadly passed away only one week before. Many people respectfully took
a minute in remembrance. |
