One of the most famous and longest lasting
Airshows in Europe is the Sanicole Airshow in Belgium. It was with great
pleasure we participated this great show, both with the Skyvan and the
Bronco.
The Skyvan was operated from Zwartberg Airfield as an aerial platform
for some of the best photographers from around the world, participating
the Air-to-Air Academy organized by the Aviation
Photocrew. It was a great pleasure to work with such great cooperation
between photographers, ATC, the Sanicole Airshow organization and the
many aircrew during the photoshoots. |

On Friday evening we all enjoyed a wonderful
Sunset airshow at the Sanicole Airfield. The weather gods gave us a very
nice sunset sky, resulting in great light, ideal for photography.
On Saturday the Bronco flew over to the nearby Kleine-Brogel Air Base,
where the Spottersday was organized. The Skyvan also made a quick stop
at the spottersday and was parked next to the iconic Breitling Super Constellation.
In the late afternoon the Bronco was ferried to Sanicole to join the static
display. |

On Sunday we got to see the show of numerous
flying displays, such as the Pioneer team, Brendan O-Brien’s Flying
Circus, the Victors, the Belgian F16 Demo and many others. A demo of the
Sea King and successor NH-90 was enjoyed by the large crowd. One of the
highlights was Rex Pemperton who jumped out of our Skyvan in his wingsuit
with his wife Melissa rolling around him in her Edge 540 acro aircraft.
Another ‘picture perfect’ moment was the fly-by of the Super
Constellation together with the Patrouille Suisse. The show ended with a
beautiful demo of Frecce Tricolori, we especially appreciated that the commentator
learned some Dutch words. |

The day ended with a splendid party to celebrate
the end of the show.
We would like to thank the organization for having us on the biggest
airshow of Belgium! Hopefully we see you again next year!
