We have just completed a busy weekend for the Bronco Demo Team having completed again two ‘firsts’ for the team in what is looking like a very busy year with many shows across Europe this season.

Our first new venture was our inaugural year of being invited to the Biggin Hill Festival of Flight, at the most famous and historic of airfields in the UK. The Bronco arrived nice and early at 1000 Hrs and was positioned in the static park; where we then set up our new ‘pop up’ stand ready to sell some merchandise, next to the aircraft with our fantastic cheerleaders. The other first was that we had 2 teams out on the same weekend with another team at Leeuwarden in the Netherlands with the Skyvan.

The Biggin Hill organisers had a well matched display of various aircraft from the old Warbird’s through to the Catalina and the Red Arrows. The hospitality was very good and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

The weather was typically British with occasional sunny moments dotted with menacing clouds and intermittent rain showers. Tony completed his display very professionally just as the rain started to dampen everyone’s spirits and enjoyed his display there; then retiring to the meet the pilots tent where the team signed autographs and display programmes.

This was my first weekend with the team being the new ‘Brit’ on the patch, and as such may I say a huge thank you. A lovely team, most welcoming who we all managed to have a laugh and got some great photographs thank you.

Denmark is the next show next weekend, we look forward to seeing all of our Danish fans and wider community supporters there.

Cathy
